Fonterra to offer 40,000 tonnes of butter on GlobalDairyTrade

Over the next 12 months Fonterra plans to offer 40,410 tonnes of butter for sale via GlobalDairyTrade (GDT) its online selling channel.  The inclusion of butter on GDT means buyers now have access to all of the main dairy product formats. The volume of butter which Fonterra is planning to sell via GDT is relatively low equating to approximately 15% of the butter Fonterra exported in the last financial year.  Butter will be first offered on GDT at the February 19 auction where 1800 tonnes of butter will be available.
