Prime cattle throughput was high at Canterbury Park last Tuesday, with the top steers at $2.68-$2.78/kg. Two-year steer prices eased at $2.23/kg to $2.52/kg, as did a mixed quality yarding of yearlings.
The on-going dry had little impact on sheep results with markets essentially steady. The top cut of the prime lambs made $177-$192 with the bulk of the sale $120-$168. Medium to good store male lambs made $94-$112, and similar mixed-sex, $90-$121.
