At Lorneville last Tuesday there was a medium yarding of prime cattle. Most were predominantly cows and heavier types sold well at $1.90-$2.05/kg. Numbers were limited in the store pens, one-year beef heifers, 269kg, sold for $3.09/kg, while same age Friesian steers, 250kg, earned $2.80/kg and Friesian bulls, 269kg, $2.30/kg.

Prime lambs strengthened to $190-$210 at the top end, while light to medium types softened slightly at $135-$183. Top store lambs lifted to $130-$145.
