A good bench of buyers was present at Rangiuru last Wednesday, for a sizeable fair of 738 weaners – most of which were in the 500 strong bull section. Friesian bulls, 117-130kg, dropped to $440-$480, though 100-114kg held at $420-$460. Friesian & Friesian-cross were mixed as 104-115kg traded at $370-$450.
Friesian heifers all sold in one pen at 142kg and $500, while a small entry of steers had Hereford-Friesian, 116kg, at $625 and 162kg, $660.
