Cattle tallies lifted at Stortford Lodge last Monday, with improved results for all presented. Angus steers, 560kg, lifted to $3.10/kg.
Ewe numbers eased and most traded at steady to improved levels. Very-good ewes held at $127-$128, while medium-good to good types improved to $114-$125, as did medium up to $96-$110.
Lamb throughput lifted to close to 1400 and a few return buyers increased competition. Very-heavy mixed-sex managed $168-$175, though heavy types eased to $130-$138. Ewe lambs made up the lion’s share of the offering and enjoyed increased demand and improved results for most. Top ewe lambs realised $168.50, and good types managed $120-$124.
