President Fiona Gower encourages businesswomen who have strong entrepreneurial skills, are innovative, embrace new technology and are active in their rural community to enter the awards.
Two new categories mean seven awards will be offered this year with a supreme award winner selected from the winners of each category.
The new categories focus on rural health and food and beverage. Other categories are emerging business, innovation, love of the land, creative arts and rural champion.
Entries close on July 31 with the awards presentation in Wellington on November 22.
All category winners get a trophy and $1000 in prize money. The supreme winner gets another $1000.
