A moderate yarding of store cattle was penned at Rangiuru last Tuesday. Of the 169 offered, a third were standout lines of R3 Angus steers, 424-478kg, that fetched $2.54-$2.63/kg. A pen of Angus bulls, 315kg, attracted a comparable bid of $2.54/kg. The rest of the older cattle varied depending on quality, other standout lines included R3 Hereford-Friesian steers, 406kg, at $2.49/kg, while Angus-Friesian, 533kg, managed $2.39/kg.
