About 2200 store lambs were offered and were mainly good quality lines, with few selling for less than $80. A specially advertised line of cryptorchids topped the sale at $125.50, while medium males mainly traded at $100-$105. The lightest males weren’t small and sold for $95. The top ewe lambs reached $119, medium $93-$94, light $84-$85. One small line of prime lambs was offered and fetched $135.
Four hundred ewes sold on a firm market with most heading to processors in Hawke’s Bay. Heavy ewes returned $90, medium $70-$75, light $64-$68.
