Neal Wallace is unquestionably proud of his southern roots. He has been a newspaper journalist for over 30 years, of which more than half has been spent covering the primary industry. It is a sector he is passionate about and believes in, and in turn has been “rewarded with an incredibly varied and satisfying career”. Outside of work, he follows the Highlanders, spends time with family, writes books, and does what his wife tells him to do. He enjoys keeping fit, which includes being an active rugby referee.
