Katter’s Australian Party MP Shane Knuth has tabled a private members bill in the Queensland state parliament which would set up a series of region-specific labels to indicate a fair price had been paid.
Knuth said the scheme would make it simple for consumers to support farmers by buying milk which had been paid for at a reasonable rate.
“This will make it very simple for the consumer,” he said.
